It's cool to stop support, but this seems to interrupt the free use of software that was bought and paid for. Many people are running software that they bought more than a decade ago - before the SAS model appeared. Maybe your server fails and you need to re-install? You can't? Maybe you bought 15 seats, and have been adding a few a year? Now you are frozen at what's installed? What's news to me that the use of the software we purchased (2017) as "perpetual" is now being limited by the seller. Hard to believe that a newer version of the db engine couldn't be told to look in a different place for its license. That's fair.although some would say it was "solvable" before release or in an update. It's been understood that the different database engine versions can not cohabitate on the same machine. Shirley - Lots to parse in there - thanks for the reply. Links to unsupported versions of Sage 50 (version 2020 and older) have been removed from our EAP website to ensure schools are using only versions of the software that are tested and officially supported. This situation also applies to colleges and schools participating in our Education Alliance Program.
